MAPTrix¢â ECM For Defined Surface
Cells are surrounded by a complex set of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins that are crtitical in regulating cell functions such as cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, morphogenesis and differentiation. Cell adhesion, primarily mediated by members of the integrin family, to ECM is the initial cellular process for these cell functions.

MAPTrix¢â ECM is the mussel adhesive protein based extracellular matrix mimetic that provide specific integrin binding surface to regulate the cell functions in a controlled and reproducible manner.

MAPTrix¢â ECM line of products coating reagents with genetically incorporated bioactive peptides (recognition peptides) mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) activity of collagen, fibronectin, laminin, vitronectin, cadherin, and more.

The biological activity of our MAPTrix¢â ECM is comparable with its corresponding natural ECM protein, as evidenced in primary cells such as neural or hepatocyte and human derived mesenchymal stem cell cultures.

MAPTrix¢â ECM coating kits allows to facilitate programmed cellular responses, and/or enhance selective cell interactions by providing appropriate cell adhesion microenvironment.
